OKLAHOMA
Jim Roth
Corporation Commissioner
The Oklahoma the Corporation Commission has the responsibility of ensuring that you get what you pay for at the pump. The Commission’s fuel inspectors perform calibration tests on all of the state's gas pumps. A pump must be within plus or minus (+ -) 6 cubic inches (about 6 tablespoons) of a certified five-gallon measure in the calibration test, or it will be shut down.

Fuel inspectors also check octane rating, for water in the gas, for ethanol content, and for compliance with safety and environmental rules.

If you are interested in more information please visit the Corporation Commission's Petroleum Storage Tank Division's Web site.
