❏   IF THE MOTOR CARRIER IS OPERATING VEHICLES THAT ALREADY HAVE AN IRP (APPORTIONED TAG), BUT NEED AN IFTA (FUEL PERMIT) AND AN INTRASTATE OPERATING AUTHORITY:

 

A.  For an IFTA -

      1.   Contact the motor carrier’s base jurisdiction (typically the state or province where the motor carrier maintains their principle place of business); or

      2.   Obtain a temporary fuel permit via a wire service

                  XeroFax on-line at http://commerce.permits.net or 1-800-XEROFAX or

                  Comdata on-line at http://www.comdata.com 1-800-COMDATA); or

      3.   Obtain a temporary fuel permit via the Corporation Commission during business days at

            (405) 521-3036 at a cost of $ 25.00.  Fees to the Corporation Commission may be paid by check, certified funds or Discover card (surcharge applies).

 

      and

 

      for an intrastate operating authority (transporting products point to point within Oklahoma)

      1.   Contact the Corporation Commission during business days at (405) 521-2251 to complete a TDF 1 application (or obtain the application on-line at http://occeweb.com ); and

      2.   Contact your insurance agent to have your insurance company fax a Form E liability insurance filing to (405) 521-2916; and,

      3.   Once the application is received and the $100 application filing fee and the $7 per truck fee is paid, and the insurance is on file, the motor carrier will be issued a 60 day provisional license.  The license is issued to the motor carrier and is valid for each vehicle operating under the motor carrier’s authority.  Fees to the Corporation Commission may be paid by credit/debit card with a surcharge added, or by cash, check or certified funds.  NOTE: Additional information pertaining to extension of this authority past the 60 day provisional license may be obtained by contacting the Motor Carrier Requirements Staff at (405) 521-2251.

 

      or

 

B.  Obtain an Oklahoma Trucking One Stop Shop Harvest Permit from the Corporation Commission.

      1.   Contact the Corporation Commission during business days at (405) 521-2251 to complete a TOSS1 application (or obtain the application on-line at http://occeweb.com );

      2.   Provide a Form E liability insurance filing (issued by your insurance company) by mail or fax to (405) 521-2916 or provide a copy of each vehicle’s security verification form; and,

      3.   Once the application is received, the harvest permit fees paid ($20 per axle for a 30 day permit or $35 per axle for a 60 day permit), and the insurance is on file, a harvest permit will be issued.  Fees to the Corporation Commission may be paid by credit/debit card with a surcharge added, or by cash, check or certified funds.

      1.   Contact the Corporation Commission during business days at (405) 521-2251 to complete a TDF 1 application (or obtain the application on-line at http://occeweb.com ); and

      2.   Contact your insurance agent to have your insurance company fax a Form E liability insurance filing to (405) 521-2916; and,

A.  For a TEMPORARY COMMERCIAL VEHICLE REGISTRATION only (may be called a WORK PERMIT - available for 30, 60 or 90 days as noted in 47 O.S. § 1134):

            1.  A local tag agent, or

            2.  The Oklahoma Tax Commission at (405) 521-3101

 

      or

 

B.  Obtain an Oklahoma Trucking One Stop Shop Harvest Permit from the Corporation Commission.

      1.   Contact the Corporation Commission during business days at (405) 521-2251 to complete a TOSS1 application (or obtain the application on-line at http://occeweb.com );

Work permits may also be obtained for transporting gravel, shale or other road materials for rural roads (see 47 O.S. §1134).

 

NOTE: Trailers that are not tagged and are utilized as a farm trailer must be commercially tagged during usage in commercial operations.  The tag can then be removed from the farm trailer when it is no longer used commercially.
