The Public Utility Division (PUD) regulates many electric, natural gas, phone, water, and cotton gin companies assuring reliable public utility services at a reasonable cost.

Much of this regulation involves setting prices, known as ratemaking; auditing fuel costs; and establishing regulations for utility operations, known as rulemaking

Oklahomans tend to be most interested in utility prices, security deposits, what is happening in current utility cases, how to let the Commission know their views on proposed rate changes, and how to file a complaint about utility service.

The Acting Director of the Public Utility Division, pursuant to OAC 165:55-3-22, proposes to amend the Annual Report filed by Telecommunications Service Providers.  This report is due on or before May 1st of each year and the proposed revisions will begin with the Annual Report due May 1, 2013, unless an Application is filed to object to the proposed revisions.  See the suggested changes to the report at the following link:
